I'ts car auction time, but for you and me it's old(classic sorry)car show on the back lot! YES! I am now in my element. Hap-a-licious! Did I just say that? My bad. This black OLDS cutless is one of my favorites on the back lot. I know it's not a true muscle car in the purest sense of the word but it could still come with a V-8 and it's got class and style! To me it's an American classic in crome and steel. Forget "the trailer queen" I know how to work the pedles if you know what I mean? I want one. I wonder if they deliver?!(:
A Chevelle any year is great-even colonade style if you do it up right. I have never owned a Chevelle but I almost did,if I could have just convinced my wife a few years ago that a two owner Chevelle with a 307 was not a gas sucking monster I'd still have it today! The good LORD knows how I am about cars.(: Inspite of myself he is merciful even to one such as me(:!!!

My oldest son who was with me on this little outing did not know what a nash metropolitan is. He laughed alot when he saw this and the Crosely that was close by. I tried to explain to him what they are about and I guess I did a good job because by the time we left he wanted a Nash Met. just like the one we saw.(: He also wanted to know if the"RED CAR" was fast? I told him yes. By the way the "red car" is a Torino, a Super Cobra Jet428 fastback(later called sports roof I think).

This is my oldest sons FAVORITE ever, it's a 1970 Chevelle Malibu 454 ss! That's my boy!(:

Hey come on an go Italian! (by Ford that is).

A Dodge Challenger 340 -Pistol grip Tic-Toc-Tac graphics bold colors and a screamin small block! This is a true American muscle machine, a road warrior. You know the saying It's MOPAR or no car! 'Nuff said. Till next time - more pics more commentary-until then burn them if you got them, the tires that is-SEE YA!

It's been over 20 days since I blogged and I'm so ashamed( boy)

Well I've(not the medicine you get at the hospital) called you all(that's southern talk) here for no apperant reason. I have no wisdom to impart(I being the party of the first part) You all will be hereby refered to as (party of the 2nd part) and jacks are better to open. Hereby and forthwith this clause has been established in order that you(that's right the party of the 2nd part) will be endowed with none of the affore mentioned "wisdom" of which I have taken no part. Now that I started this with "next to nothing" to say most of you will get NOTHING out of it but for those of you who dig "deep" you will find "absolutely nothing". You get what you pay for. I like cash.(: If for some unknown reason you enjoyed this little rant then my name is HAPPY if not then my name is UN the HAPPY!(:

No Pictures

No new pictures today. Sunday service and then a day "working" in the yard and garden. You could not have asked the Good Lord for a better day. All three boys (now really getting to be young men) were helping the wife and me. The yard got mowed and the weed eating was done. The two stairways built into the flowerbeds were rebuilt today by the boys under moms supervison.(: I also got to clean and wash my chevy cheyenne today, it was in dire need as it is usually covered in sand and dust from the concrete plant where I work. She still cleans up pretty well for an old work truck. Runs like a top! Well we finished off the day with a barbeque, nothing fancy just burgers and chips and cold drinks. A happy memory in time. I hope your day was equally enjoyable. God bless! See Ya!

Roadsidepark

We took a little trip this weekend to watch our nephew race motorcross . When we wern't watching him race we had lunch and just hungout. We got a little sun and spent some time riding the four wheeler.( FUN FUN FUN! ) He is very good at motorcross racing. In this particular instance he won a third place trophy. He would have done better but he was invovled in two crashes. In the one crash two other riders cut him off and ran over him . When the race was over he went to the ambulance on site to get attention for his left hand. His dad thought that he might have broken a couple of fingers. They taped his fingers together and sent him on his way. He was back in the next race going full throttle! I like that. I guess next to being in the race being trackside seeing the action up close, hearing the noise " eating the dust" is 2nd best. Next to the motorcross complex was a small "Roadsidepark" were I found these cars permanently parked. Here are a few of the pictures that I took. See how maney of the cars you can identify. Maybe you used to own one, maybe your parents did, maybe you just got one (the fortunate one) maybe you want one or all of them! (like me ha!) Drop me a line and let's talk about it. Be warned I type painfully slow-HA HA. See ya.
